Template talk:Infobox Second Life location
For the purposes of the Stylecards website, a location can be a region, sim, building, store, house, skybox, or any place that is uniquely identifiable.
Fields
- image
- alt
- caption
- name
- owner
- slurl
- website
Ideally, the location will have a logo, but it's not a requirement. If it has a logo, it should be added to the infobox, but if not, use the generic location logo (this has yet to be created) as the image. This should just be the name of the image file and doesn't need to be preceded by File:.
The alt field adds the alt text property to an image. Whenever an image is used on the website, we require an alt text description. For tips on writing a good alt text description, check out this article.
The caption field is usually a much simpler description of the image. It can be something as simple as The logo for Stylecards or A headshot of Tala Pangilinan. The caption will appear beneath the image and will be italicized.
The name field should be the name of the location about which the article is being written.
The owner field should be the name of the person or the group that owns the location.
The slurl field should be a link that a reader could follow to visit the location. Ideally, a person should be able to copy the link in this infobox and be able to paste it into their viewer to teleport to the location.
The website field should be used if the location has a website associated with it. It could be a website for the owner or creator, and doesn't need to be specific for the location.
