Model Natsris Perivulva uses a fantasy skin.

Skin in Second Life is a term used to describe a covering for a mesh body or mesh head.

Skins for mesh heads are normally meant to work with certain ranges of heads, such as Genus Morph or EvoX compatible heads. Along similar lines, skins for mesh bodies are normally intended to be used on particular bodies, such as Maitreya Lara.

Bodies and heads normally come with flesh tones, but since they are usually made by different creators, using skins makes it possible to ensure the skin tones match.

As an example, in the image at right, Stylecards model Natsris Perivulva uses a Genus MorphTOON head and a Maitreya LaraX Petite body. To make sure her skin tones match, she has a Dasha head skin and Goddess body skin, both from Someone, and both using the same Styx skin tone.
