Template talk:Infobox Second Life blogger
Description
The Infobox Second Life blogger
template should be used for articles on bloggers or blogs.
If a blog has multiple bloggers, FabFree being an example, articles can be created for the blog itself, as well as the individual bloggers. Articles should not be created for blogging platforms, such as WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, etc.
Fields
The following fields are available to use in this template:
- image
- alt
- caption
- name
- inworld
- website
- feed
The image field should be the logo of the blog or a photo of the blogger's avatar. If neither is available, use no-image-blog.png
and add [[Category:No logo]] at the bottom of the page.
The alt field should be a simple description of the image being used. The logo for Stylecards features a white S in front of a blue background, is an example of a good alt text description for an infobox. All images on this website must include alt text.
The caption field should be a short description of the image being used. The caption will appear as italicized text beneath the image, and should be short enough to fit on one line. The logo for Stylecards, is an example of a good caption.
The name field can be either the name of the blogger or the name or the blog. It doesn't necessarily need to be the same as the title of the article. For example, in the Inara Pey article, the name field is Living in a Modemworld, which is the name of her blog.
The inworld field should be used if the blogger has a location in-world that is well known. For bloggers, this field won't be used often, but would be useful if a blogger has a location they want to promote.
If a blogger is also a creator, use the Infobox Second Life creator
template instead, and their blog can be used in the website field.
The website field should be a link to their blog. The best practice for this is to show a base URL without any extraneous text. The following is an example:
[https://www.example.com example.com]
This will show up as example.com.
The feed field should be a link to the blog's RSS or Atom feed. Not all blogs have them, but for the ones that do, we strongly encourage their inclusion here.
