Stylecards is a quarterly fashion and lifestyle magazine and we are looking for models.

Before submitting an application, it's a good idea to understand how we use models in the magazine, as well as set some expectations for the model and the photographer.

Model responsibilities

Models are responsible for the general look of their avatars. This means they should have a mesh body, a mesh head, and hair or a hairbase. Ideally, they will use a head skin and body skin, but some models are able to use built-in skins to good effect.

Models can have tattoos, makeup and jewelry, though the photographer may ask them to make changes as needed for the assignment. Sometimes these items will be provided to a model for the photoshoot, but this is uncommon.

The model and photographer will arrange to meet at a time that works for both of their schedules. The photographer will choose the location, and will offer the model a teleport to the place where the photos will be taken.

If the photographer is using a posing HUD, the model must allow the HUD to animate their body.

If the model proposed the assignment to Stylecards, they are responsible for supplying their own clothing.

Models get paid depending on the number of photos in which they appear in the magazine. For each photo they are in which is published in the magazine, they will be paid L$200, so if they appear in three images in the magazine, they will be paid L$600.

Photographer responsibilities

Photographers are responsible for the composition and quality of their pictures. They must understand the magazine's requirements for a given assignment and strive fulfill them.

Photographers are responsible for submitting the photos by the deadline they have been given.

The model and photographer will arrange to meet at a time that works for both of their schedules. The photographer will choose the location, and will offer the model a teleport to the place where the photos will be taken.

The photographer is responsible for posing the model. This often means using a photo studio or a posing HUD, such as the LumiPro, but might also require gifting a pose to the model for them to use. This will need to be worked out between the model and the photographer.

If the photographer proposed the assignment to Stylecards, they are responsible for supplying the model with necessary clothing. For fashion shoots, photographers are required to note the details of the outfit being worn by the model. The editors of Stylecards will add this information to the photos before publication.

Photographers get paid depending on how many of their photos appear in the magazine. For each photo they take which is published in the magazine, they will be paid L$200, so if five of their photos are published, they will be paid L$1000. If the photographer is also the model, they will still only be paid L$200 per photo. No double-dipping.

Stylecards responsibilities

Stylecards is responsible for choosing the model and the photographer for a given assignment, and making introductions if necessary.

Stylecards is responsible for making sure the model and the photographer understand the assignment and the deadline for the photos to be submitted.
