Welcome to Stylecards № 5. As the first issue of our second year of publication, it feels pretty special. We hope this is the first of many anniversaries to come, and as usual, we have a lot of wonderful content for you to enjoy.

In this issue, Sheristrawberri brings us two exciting Designer Showcases. First, she interviewed Allison Selene and Alice Klinger of Alli&Ali Designs. Alli&Ali are well-known for their attractive and relatively inexpensive hair designs, and we’re glad we got the chance to show off some of their works.

Sheri also interviewed Alessia Rodeyn of Second Nature Jewellery. In addition to explaining her process of creating jewelry, Alessia also explained how jewellery isn’t a misspelling. We’re also grateful to be able to present some of her eye-catching products.

When she wasn’t busy interviewing designers, Sheri investigated dating apps and dating agencies in Second Life. Like their real life counterparts, they have a mixed reputation, and while not everyone is satisfied, they have led to some successes. This article is the first of a series we have planned. In the Summer issue, we’ll look at the thriving wedding industry in Second Life, while the Fall issue will conclude the series with a look at the also thriving maternity industry.

The ever busy Sheri also wrote about the motorcycle scene in Second Life. Not only is she friends with some of the people making motorcycles and biker attire, she also has a few bikes of her own and took me for a memorable ride on one.

Far from the dusty trails of our motorcycle ride, my sister Xinnia Amore visited Hotel X, a cybernoir hotel that makes great use of PBR and was inspired by a hotel in the videogame Cyberpunk 2077. Though we found it while looking for a place to take some photos, we fell in love with its style and Xinnia had a great talk with the hotel’s creator Mystique. It’s a great place for parties, and as many people found on Valentine’s Day, it’s also a great place to take a date.

I also want to recognize our new ad executive, Asa (AspasiaDeMileto). Since starting in the new year, she’s been working hard on some possible cross-promotions coming in the near future. If you’re interesting in placing an ad in future issues of the magazine, or doing cross-promotions, feel free to contact her in-world.

Along those lines, be sure to check out our booth at the Dove’s Dream event in March, and keep an eye out for us at other events in the coming year. We want to grow our brand, and appearing at events is one of the ways we can do that.

We hope you enjoy Stylecards № 5 as we look forward to giving you another year of fantastic content on the fashions and lifestyles found in Second Life.
